Background

Hello and congratulations on deciding to get married! It’s an exciting time, with many decisions to be made, including which celebrant to choose and what vows you wish to say to each other.

My experience

For more than ten years I’ve been helping happy couples plan their ceremonies, creating memorable occasions, which reflect their personalities and style.

Drawing on my forty years of experience as a master of ceremonies and professional musician, I’m able to support you to create a welcoming atmosphere for your guests. You’re able to relax and enjoy the moment, knowing you have someone with a great depth of experience at your side.

I’m comfortable in front of crowds as throughout my career I’ve regularly performed to large audiences, perhaps the biggest being at the Perth Entertainment Centre to an enthusiastic crowd of 8,000 people all waiting to see Cliff Richard, who is now of course, Sir Cliff! If you’ve never heard of him, ask anyone over 40.

I’ve often been told I have a warm and welcoming voice, and a calm approach, especially for those last-minute wedding day nerves. I’m able to help guide your family and guests to be ready for your arrival in a friendly manner, ensuring everything goes to plan.

My history

I grew up in the South West, in Metricup, where my family ran a dairy farm for many years. As a young adult, I travelled throughout Australia, working days as a plasterer and performing on stage in the evenings. On my return to Perth, I married and built a home in the Perth Hills. I went on to raise four wonderful children, three girls and a boy.

During my career in the entertainment industry, I ran a successful booking agency for more than 25 years, coordinating the music and other professional performers for events such as The Variety Bash, Westfield Shopping Centre Open Days, The Telethon Trek and all manner of community, corporate and private events.

I moved to Bunbury in 2009 to be with my wife Cassie. We’ve formed strong friendships and connections in the local community and enjoy getting to explore the South West, particularly discovering new wineries and restaurants.
